AIM (Association des Industries de Marque) is the European Brands Association. We represent manufacturers of branded consumer goods in Europe on key issues that affect how they design, distribute and market their brands.

Brands represent values and start conversations. People buy what they believe in – products made by brands that meet their needs and share their point of view. Which means strong, responsible brands can shape the world for the better.
AIM was founded in 1967, to bring together national brand manufacturers associations across Europe.
The creation of the EU’s Single Market prompted change and growth, and we opened up membership to individual brand manufacturing companies.
AIM now comprises 54 leading brand manufacturers in Europe and 18 national brand manufacturer associations.
AIM’s activities are managed centrally, but closely guided by our members. Our member brands and associations guide our strategy, keeping our focus up to date with the dynamic needs of the industry.
AIM’s General Assembly brings together all corporate and national association members represented by their respective European CEOs and Directors. It elects the AIM Board and decides on financial and constitutional issues.
AIM’s Board is comprised of corporate and national association members. The Board steers AIM’s policies and drives their implementation.
AIM represents not only individual brands, but more than 18 national brand associations. The National Association Directors Committee co-ordinates these associations’ work with that of AIM, exchanging best practices and aligning efforts to achieve AIM’s objectives.
The Association is run by the President, Vice-Presidents and Treasurer, who are elected by the AIM Board. The Director General, Michelle Gibbons, manages the Association’s activities, which are divided into seven committees and several task forces. Each AIM member organisation is entitled to send its experts to the different committees and task forces.
