Our member brands are committed to human rights and sourcing materials responsibly across the supply chain

It is crucial that all brands recognise the importance of promoting respect for human rights, at all stages of the supply chain. Our brands are committed to The United Nations Guiding Principles on Business & Human Rights (UNGPs), putting human rights at the centre of their responsible sourcing programmes. They are implementing Human Rights Due Diligence, which consists of:

  • Embedding respect for human rights into corporate policies
  • Assessing actual and potential adverse impacts of a business’s own operations and its relationships, and acting on the findings
  • Tracking the effectiveness of efforts to reduce harm
  • Communicating about efforts
  • Implementing effective grievance mechanisms
