Consumer Packaged Goods industry supports 20 Million American jobs & contributes $2 trillion to GDP

More than 10% of U.S. jobs and GDP are supported by the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. According to a new report released today by the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), CPG is the largest manufacturing employer in the United States supporting 20.4 million jobs that generate $1.1 trillion in labor income, and contribute $2 trillion to the nation’s GDP.
