AIM welcomes the European Commission’s Digital Omnibus on AI as an opportunity to simplify the implementation of the AI Act. In its submission, AIM calls for a clear and predictable compliance timeline for high-risk AI systems, recommending a single applicability date of 2 August 2028 to avoid legal uncertainty. AIM also supports shifting responsibility for AI literacy initiatives to the European Commission and Member States to ensure a coordinated approach across the EU.
